Two Rivers by Avril Lavigne

Two Rivers is a really pretty song sung by Avril Lavigne.  The lyrics to Two Rivers actually go beyond just a simple Christian song about Jesus.  It really can be taken in many different ways.  I personally read Avril’s lyrics to mean that she is singing to someone who is dying like her grandmother.  She is saying that both of their lives are like two rivers and that they will converge someday in heaven.  It’s a pretty beautiful metaphor.  Avril always choses really great covers to do and I think this is an old spiritual song.  I really like Avril’s rendition.

Touch the Sky is another religious song by Avril Lavigne.  She got her start singing gospel songs and songs in church so this is a song that brings her back to her roots.  The song is about God and Jesus, and I’m obviously not gonna do any commentary on that.   Just check out the Touch the Sky lyrics

Temple of Life – Avril Lavigne

Here are the lyrics to “Temple of Life” as song by Avril Lavigne.  I actually haven’t heard this song, so I’m not gonna comment too much about it.  It seems like a gospel song.  I know Avril was raised in a small town and started singing in the church, so I guess this is Avril coming back to her roots.  Does anyone know much about this song?  Leave a comment.

Take It – Avril Lavigne Lyrics

The lyrics to Take It by Avril Lavigne is a song about pavarazzi and how Avril has to deal with those jerks all the time.  She says that they are constantly writing fake stories about her and the people she loves.  “Just take it” she says.  I think she’s gotten kind of used to all the attention by now, but I think in the song you get the sense that it hurts her inside, even still.  What do you think guys?  Should Avril have to just deal with all the shit that these guys write about her?  Is it just part of the fame and fortune of being a celebrity?  Should photographers be allowed to just show up and take pictures of Avril anywhere she goes?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Meanwhile check out Avril’s lyrics.

Spongebob Squarepants Theme

Did you guys see the Spongebob Squarepants movie?  I hate to admit it but I’m kind of a Spongebob fanatic.  I even have the slippers…LOL.  Anyway, when I heard that Avril Lavigne was singing the theme for the movie, I just had to see it.  She does a really good job actually, and it sounds really punk.  Anyway, in case you don’t know the lyrics by heart.  Here is the Spongebob theme as song by the lovely Avril.

I Don’t Give A Damn

Below are the lyrics to “I Don’t Give A Damn” by Avril Lavigne.  This is a song about a guy who must have kissed Avril and then went and bragged about it to all his friends.  Avril talks all about how much of a drag guys can be and how she really don’t give a damn what this guy thinks.  She’d rather him walk out the door and get out of her life.  I like Avril Lavigne’s strength and how she writes about not having to give it up to just anyone.  I think she’s a good role model for girls.

Get Over It is an Avril Lavigne song about a dirty rotten hound of a boy 🙂  Avril is singing about a guy that’s trying to grab her and do all sorts of stuff that’s out of bounds.  The lyrics to Get Over it are pretty standard for Avril, but it’s a good song nonetheless.

Falling Down – Avril Lavigne Lyrics

Here are the “Falling Down” lyrics by Avril Lavigne.  This song isn’t off any album, but it’s still a good tune by Avril and company.  Falling Down is a song about the benefit of making mistakes while you’re still young.  I think that’s what she means when she says she loves to be falling down when she’s young.  I guess Avril knows that she’ll have plenty of time to live some stable life in a nice house or whatever, but for now she can be free to do stupid stuff and have fun.  That’s the drift I get.  What about you guys?  You think this is what Avril is getting at?
